Greg White Hunt of "Bamboo Gardens and Music" began his professional musical journey as a classically trained French Hornist in 1970 performing with"American Youth Performs" Orchestra under the direction of Carman Dragon.

Greg received a Bachelor of Music degree in the mid 1970s from the University of Tennessee performing in "Clarence Brown Theater", Symphonic Orchestras, Woodwind Quintets, Brass Choir, Stage Band and the UTK rock band "Jeremiah".

Greg studied Jazz improvisation in New Orleans in the late 1970s. A Student of Ethnobotany and Ethnomusicology, Greg continues to combine both studies composing World Music featuring his original compositions and his own handcrafted bamboo flutes of the world.

A multi-instrumentalist performer and Bamboo Flute designer, his recordings feature all types of bamboo flutes, French horn, classical guitar and keyboard.

In the 1990s Greg was honored to work with Jonathan Ott and Rob Montgomery of the Botanical Preservation Corps in the Upper Rio Napo rainforest of Ecuador collecting Icarios and medicinal plants while studying with the Quichua Healers, Yachajs and Ayahuacero`s.

Greg has released six solo CD`s and presented/performed his original music and hand crafted bamboo flutes at hundreds of fine art shows in the Southeast. The music and flutes may be heard Internationally.

Greg`s Bamboo Gardens and Music are available for viewing tours by appointment. Greg is currently working on the soundtrack for Quest Foundation`s documentary film " Tropical Odyssey" of Breathing Earth Production Film Division under the direction of James B. Valentine.
